Soft dB's SVS (Smart Vibration Sensor) triaxial vibration sensor is based on MEMS technology. It is efficiently designed to be insensitive to shift and tilt motion, while maintaining high precision for measurements of ground movements.

The SVS can be easily buried, installed in the ground, or even fixed to a foundation; there are no installation constraints.

What's more, the built-in intelligence ensures high-quality, interference-free data, and can automatically check that it’s operating optimally and producing valid data.

Its range of frequency can be adjusted in just a few clicks, from 0.5 Hz to 1 kHz; a feature allowing for the flexibility to adhere to regulations.

The SVS can be used to measure high vibration levels caused by blasting, drilling, etc. in a variety of sectors, such as mining, construction, transportation and more, ensuring the integrity of structures and infrastructures such as tailings.

Bury It, Fix It, or Install It on the Ground

No installation constraints.

Several references, such as USBM and ISSE, provide the recommendation of burying a sensor or anchoring it firmly to obtain accurate measurements of ground movements during blasting operations.

In line with best practices, our SVS vibration sensor is IP68-rated, very robust, and designed to be fully buried, immersed in water, and to be able to withstand extreme conditions.

Therefore, the SVS is an excellent option for permanent installations, such as long-term vibration monitoring, where burying the transducer or anchoring it securely will provide representative, high-quality data.

To ensure the reliability of communication underground, and areas with limited cellular transmission, our SVS vibration sensor uses a wired connection to provide valid, accurate, interference-free data. With up to 100 meters of cable, ensures enough flexibility to install the sensor in the best location to measure your most critical points.

Our signal acquisition and processing system is integrated directly into the SVS vibration sensor. This means that for annual certifications, you only need to send in the SVS sensor; the whole monitoring station is not required.

Our SVS triaxial vibration transducers are fully compatible with all Soft dB monitoring stations, making them easy to just replace with the ones in the field needing calibration.

Also, no reconfiguration is required when your vibration sensor returns to the field after its annual service, thus avoiding any risk of error. Everything is automated to ensure continuity and quality of measured information.
